This little critter arrived on Friday afternoon. She is one half of my Lati twins (the boy has just been shipped from Lati HQ!), and her name is Cricket.
Her faceup was done by me, and since this photo was taken, I’ve also blushed her body. She really is my little melancholic girl. 
I’m flying to Newcastle on Monday morning to remember and celebrate the life of a wonderful being. Our paths only crossed in the last 5 years, but in that time, I’d always felt welcomed and accepted in his company.

Even though I now have 3 Kenner Blythes, and finally, my dream dark brunette (Poe), my redhead (Kenn) is still really special to me. I had won her in a local auction, and she had come home as just a head stuck on a craptastic donor body. I had done my best to restore her (she now has a Takara Blythe body), and because of that, plus the fact she was my first Kenner, she holds her own special place in my heart.

I don’t usually sew a lot of clothes for my dolls, mainly because I handsew, and my attention span is too short for too many outfits at one go. Plus, it’s so much easier to buy stuff for the girls.
This dress I made for Germ is the 2nd Lati sized outfit I’ve ever made; and the smallness of the pattern means that she’s not going to get too many dresses out of me anytime soon. But for now, I think we’re both happy with how this dress turned out.
Met up with Eva and Jack this morning for a spot of treasure hunting at a collectable fair held at the Malvern Town Hall. There were mainly boys’ toys for sale (Star Wars, trading cards, etc, but I did manage to find 2 vintage outfits to fit Blythe, and a 6″ Kelly doll who’s since ‘donated’ her outfit for Germaine.
After the fair, we headed to the Spotlight store where I ended up with the above haul. I think I got all that with great plans for dolly clothes, and also as a consolation to myself for not able to get the sewing machine I wanted (it was out of stock).
