It took a while, but here I am introducing my newest boy. His name is Niwa, and he is a K-doll Kayan head on a CP Delf body. I have wanted a Kayan head for a long time, but they are hard to come by as they were only produced for a month in 2005. I bought this boy from a forum a few weeks ago.
He had a different faceup when he arrived, and it was hard to remove.
I spent 3 evenings working on removing it and redoing his faceup. My first attempt was okay, but I think the colours brought out the green tint in the resin. I redid his faceup today and I like it much better now. :3

I always knew jabbing things with a needle was theraputic. *laugh*
Photo is of a cat I made for Eva as a birthday present. It’s modelled on her own British shorthair cat, Lenny, and has similar markings and features.

The last Nintendo DS game I bought for myself was Cooking Mama, and that was about a month ago; I was so excited that Nintendo had released a new Legend of Zelda game for the DS, but as usual, the English speaking world had to wait months after the original Japanese release.
In Australia, Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass was released on 11th October 2007, and I managed to head into town to get myself a copy yesterday. It’s simply amazing how they’ve managed to incorporate so many of DS’s unique controls into the game; including having Link’s movements entirely controlled by the stylus (not the control pad), and also having the ability to write notes on the maps! I’m very impressed.
I’m at the Temple of Fire now, and am happily overusing Link’s new boomerang. ^____^

Sorry for the lack of updates. I’ve recently made a few dolly purchases that have kept me all excited and making me forget that I still have a blog. :3
Temple is my newest doll (although I now have another that should be here in a few weeks); he is a bjd hybrid (MsDoll no.3 head on a CP Delf type 2 body), and I love him so. When I sold off Jun (my Dollzone Xi), it was partly due to the fact that his sculpt wasn’t moody at all. I’ve realised that I’m really drawn to the sulky faces, and that would be a main criteria from now on if I do acquire more ABJDs.
I worked on Temple’s faceup a few days after he came home; he was so beautiful even without faceup, I just had to spend time admiring the genius of the artist that sculpted him. I usually don’t like dolls with milky/cloudy eyes, but it seems to really work for Temple. The wig isn’t his permanent one; I was just fooling around with what I have for photos while waiting for his proper one to arrive.
